Barbara S. Taylor, MD, MS

 

 

Barbara S. Taylor is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, attending infectious diseases physician at the University Health System and Audie Murphy Veteran's Healthcare System in San Antonio, TX. She graduated from Harvard Medical School and completed an internal medicine residency and a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia University Medical Center in New York. She received a Master of Science in Epidemiology from the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University in New York. Her current research focuses on improving HIV treatment outcomes in hispanic and underserved populations, determining predictors of the development of antiretroviral resistance, and examining the interactions between individual mobility, particularly circular migration, and HIV care.
