Yuanyuan Liang, PhD
Yuanyuan Liang, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Texas School of Public Health. She was a Research Scientist at the Alberta Research Centre for Child Health Evidence (ARCHE) in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Alberta, Canada before joining the faculty of the University of Texas. She received a Doctor of Philosophy in Statistics from the Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences at the University of Alberta, Cananda. She has been involved in applied and methodological statistical research in both clinical and epidemiological studies. Her research focuses on meta-analysis for systematic review and experimental design and statistical analysis for clinical trials. Since joining the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2008, she has intensively collaborated with clinical investigators on research projects that evaluate new prostate cancer biomarkers and improve screening for prostate cancer. She serves as a member of the Protocol Review Committee at the Cancer Therapy & Research Center (CTRC) and as a member of the Data Safety and Monitoring Committee at CTRC. She also serves as a statistical Reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals such as the Annals of Internal Medicine.
