Emergency Procedures
IN THE LABORATORY IN THE CORRIDOR IN ANY OTHER AREAS
IN THE LABORATORY |

- Leave the laboratory.
- Close the door.
- Call the Safety Office (X2955) from the nearest phone.
- Report:
- Agent
- Room Number
- Possible Exposures
DO NOT SPREAD CONTAMINATION:
- Leave clothing that may have been contaminated in the lab.
- Do not touch the phone with possibly contaminated hands.
- Have someone else call.
- Wash with soap and water affected body parts.
- Assure, if possible, no entry into the lab until Safety Office has permitted entry.

IN THE CORRIDOR
If air-borne contamination is possible:
- Pull the nearest Fire Alarm Pull Station.
- Have someone call the Safety Office (X2955).
- Report Agent, Location, Contact Person, Possible Exposure.
- Evacuate to the Nearest Area in which the alarms are not sounding.
- Do not return until Safety Office has cleared the area.
If air-borne contamination is not likely:
- Call the Safety Office (X2955).
- Report Agent, Location, Contact Person, Possible Exposure.
- Prevent spread of contamination.

IN ANY OTHER AREAS
- Alert people in area. Clear area of people.
- Call Safety Office (7-2955 working hours - 7-2800 after hours).
- Give all particulars (identity of agent, location, etc.).
- Try to contain spill with absorbent dikes, etc.
- Do not reenter area except by permission of Safety Office.
