This is a twenty (20) minute course designed specifically for UTHSCSA personnel performing weekly radiation safety laboratory wipe tests. The course is designed as refresher training for the requirements of wipe tests and the necessary record keeping involved with the tests. Any laboratory personnel who use radioactive material or perform wipe tests should review the course if wipe test deficiencies are found during a lab evaluation or an inspection.

The course covers the fundamental requirements of performing wipe tests, the required recordkeeping, the procedures to follow if radioactive material is used intermittently and how long to maintain the records.
