New Invention Disclosure Form (IDF)
- The IDF alerts OTV to an invention and introduces the invention and the inventors to the office.
Standard Agreements
Patent License Agreement (PLA)*
- Before attempting to apply for a patent, the inventor must agree to certain terms with the university.
Option Agreement*
- Outlines the rights and terms of the Board of Regents and the inventor(s) associated with the invention’s ownership.
Inter-Institutional Agreement*
- Agreement between the inventing party and UTHSCSA specifying the terms under which the OTV will pursue a patent
Confidential Disclosure Agreement (CDA)*
Biological Material Transfer Agreement (BMTA)*
- Transfer of material between institutions for research purposes; specifies the terms under which the recipient must abide by in order to protect the interests of the provider.
Implementing letter
- Specifies the provider, the recipient and the exact product to be transferred by the BMTA; finalizes the BMTA.
Sponsored Research, Material Transfer, Laboratory Study, Clinical Study and other contractual agreements are administered by the Office of Technology Ventures at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
