Proposal Review & Submission Guide (.pdf)-These are the steps to follow when submitting a proposal to the HSC Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP).
Certification of Proposal (COP) (.pdf)-The COP is an internal form that is required on all formal proposals for external support and for contracts (which were not the result of formal proposals) which provide funding. The COP may also be required by OSP staff when additional funding is made on an existing agreement or when other circumstances dictate its use.

ALL proposals submitted from a PI at the UTHSCSA should first be submitted to the the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) for review except for proposals submitted for the following institutional grant programs:

  • Barshop Institute- Barshop Institute for Longevity and Aging Studies
  • ERC - Executive Research Committee - Research Fund
  • PREF - Presidential Research Enhancement Fund
  • STHRC - South Texas Health Research Center
  • SACI - San Antonio Cancer Institute
  • SALSI - San Antonio Life Sciences Institute

 

These should be submitted directly to the departmental office offering the grant. When the grant is awarded then a copy of the proposal should be submitted to the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) along with a COP.
