The Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA)
is a government-wide compendium of Federal programs, projects, services,
and activities that provide assistance or benefits to the American
public. It contains financial and non-financial assistance programs
administered by departments and establishments of the Federal government.
Federal
Register
National Archives and Records Administration
The Federal Register is the official publication for
Presidential Documents and Executive Orders as well as Notices, Rules
and Proposed Rules from Federal Agencies and Organizations. Many federal
programs and deadlines are announced in the Federal register. This
is a current and archival site with Federal register issues going
back to 1995.
The Foundation
Center
Information on foundations, corporate giving, and
related subjects for grant seekers, grant makers, researchers, policymakers,
the media, and the general public can be found here. Visit the Office
of Sponsored Programs (OSP) (402L) to access the on-line Foundation
Directory.
Grants.gov
The electronic
storefront for Federal grants. The Department of Health and Human
Services (HHS) is the managing partner for the federal E-Grants (also
called Grants.gov) initiative, one of 24 initiatives of the overall
E-Government program for improving access to government services via
the Internet. Eleven departments and agencies have been designated
as supporting partners for this initiative that calls for the development
of a one-stop electronic grant portal where potential grant recipients
will receive full service electronic grant administration. HHS has
established a Grants.gov Program Management Office to lead the development
activities.
GrantsNet
GrantsNet is a searchable database of Funding Opportunities
for Training in the sciences and undergraduate science education.
The American Association for the Advancement of Science - AAAS and
Howard Hughes Medical Institute - HHMI have teamed up to create this
FREE searchable database of funding options which is geared toward
scientists in training -- grad students, postdocs, and junior faculty
members. This site also contains an online career center to help plan
your research career.

The Guide to U.S. Department of Education Programs
and Resources is a reference for information about programs and resources
administered by the U.S. Department of Education. You will also find
information on financial assistance offered to state and local education
agencies, institutions of higher education, post secondary vocational
institutions, public and private nonprofit organizations, and individuals
to help serve a variety of education needs including those of students,
teachers, administrators, and researchers. It also includes information
about laboratories and centers and other research-oriented entities
that produce resources important to education.

The NIH considers applications for the support
of basic or clinical biomedical, behavioral, and bioengineering
research. New extramural grant programs and priorities are implemented
by publication of one of the following:
- NIH
Guide: Program Announcements (PA): announces
increased priority and/or emphasizes particular funding mechanisms
for a specific area of science; applications accepted on standard
receipt dates on an on-going basis. (A PAR is a PA for which special
referral guidelines apply, described in the PAR.)
- NIH
Guide: Requests for Applications (RFA): identifies
a more narrowly defined area for which one or more NIH institutes
have set aside funds for awarding grants; one receipt date, specified
in RFA.
- Request for Proposals (RFP): solicits
proposals for a contract; one receipt date, specified in RFP.
NSF
Guide to Programs
The Guide to Programs is a compilation of funding
opportunities offered by the National Science Foundation (NSF) for
research and education in science, mathematics, engineering, and technology.
The Guide includes broad, general descriptions of programs and activities
for each NSF Directorate, as well as sources for more information.
It also offers links to other information sources, including NSF Directorate
home pages; to related publications such as program announcements
and solicitations that contain additional proposal or eligibility
information; and to the E-Bulletin for deadline and target date information.

The E-Bulletin announces key dates on which grant
proposals are due at NSF for the current 4 months.

Philanthropy
News Digest
The Philanthropy News Digest (PND), a weekly news
service of the Foundation Center, is a compendium, in digest form,
of philanthropy-related articles and features culled from print and
electronic media outlets nationwide. The Digest is posted to the Foundation
Center's Web site every Tuesday afternoon.
Each PND abstract summarizes the content of, or from, an original
article, press or news release, or grant maker Web site. Many abstracts
also include "FCnotes," which provide basic fiscal information
from the Foundation Center's database regarding a grant maker or
grant makers mentioned in the original news source.
Texas Department of State Health Services (TX DSHS)- Funding Information
Center
Allows any organization or individual in the state
of Texas to pursue public health funding opportunities available
from public and private sources by disseminating information on
available funding through timely announcements and our website.
Funding
Alert is a weekly current awareness service
provided by TX DSHS, which lists funding opportunities, grantsmanship
training and other items of interest to grant seekers. The alerts
are faxed, mailed, or sent through e-mail to subscribers. The alerts
are provided here in html (text) format for clients wishing to view
them electronically.
(Texas) State Grants
The State Grants Team's mission is to alert entities
throughout Texas about funding opportunities. The State Grants Team
has compiled a number of resources about public and private funding
opportunities.
Grant
Alert, a project of the (Texas) State
Grants Team in the Governor's Office of Budget, Planning and Policy,
is a compilation of information about current funding solicitations
offered by federal, state and private grant funding resources. The
Grant Alert is posted in Rich Text Format (readable by most word
processors) twice weekly. Prior alerts remain listed for about two
weeks before being removed.
Texas
Register
The Texas Register is a weekly publication that serves
as the notice bulletin of state agency rulemaking. The Register contains
emergency, proposed, and adopted rules; notices of withdrawn and repealed
rules; notices of rule review and other information submitted by state
agencies for publication.
