The conference will be held at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio, located at 600 East Market Street, San Antonio, Texas 78205.

       

Situated on the banks of the famed San Antonio Riverwalk, the Grand Hyatt San Antonio hotel presents contemporary style and an entirely new level of comfort, luxury and convenience among San Antonio hotels. The location affords stunning views of downtown or HemisFair Park. Setting the standard for hotels in San Antonio, the Grand Hyatt offers luxurious accommodations ranging from king-size bedrooms to suites.

The NIH 2008 Regional Seminar has arranged for a block of rooms at a rate of $195 per night from March 24-28, 2008. This rate is available until March 1, 2008; reservations made after March 1st may or may not receive this negotiated rate.

When you register for the conference online, a link will be provided to make hotel reservations online. Following March 1st, this link may not work. We recommend calling the hotel directly to make reservations over the phone at (888) 421-1442.

Staying at the Grand Hyatt offers great networking opportunities to meet your colleagues and make new friends. By having our attendees stay at our headquarters hotel, we are able to secure reduced pricing on hotel rooms for attendees, speakers, and staff that help reduce the overall costs to produce the meeting.

Please be aware that San Antonio will also be host to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Final Four in late March, around the same time as the NIH Seminar. This is a very large event in our city and keeps the hotels in the area around the Riverwalk at or near capacity through the duration. If you do not make hotel reservations early, you may have difficulty finding a room anywhere nearby. We highly recommend making hotel reservations prior to registering for the seminar to ensure that you will have accommodations.

Grand Hyatt San Antonio Hotel Policies Of Interest
For our attendees that will be staying in our host hotel, please make note of the following hotel policies to avoid being charged any unnecessary penalties/fees:

CHECK-IN TIME
Check-in time is 4:00pm. Room assignments prior to that time are based on availability.

CHECK-OUT TIMES
Check-out time is 11:00am. Video check-out is available in all guest rooms. Without prior approval a late check-out charge of ½ the guest room rate is assessed if a guest checks out after 11:00am but before 3:00pm. After 3:00pm, the full group rate is charged.

CANCELLATIONS
A fee of one night’s room and tax will be assessed on all cancellations unless the individual reservation is canceled seventy-two (72) hours in advance.

EARLY DEPARTURE FEE
An early departure fee of one (1) full night’s room and tax will be assessed on guests checking out prior to their original departure date.

INTERNET ACCESS
All guest rooms are equipped with wired and wireless high-speed Internet access available at a daily fee of $9.95, plus taxes.

PARKING
Valet parking is available for $30 per night, with in-and-out privileges. Self-Parking is available at $23 per night, with in-and-out privileges. Parking rates are subject to change without notice.
