Access to the vivarium is dependent upon completion of the Orientation/Training class: Introduction to DLAR and How to Function Within the Vivarium. Register on-line through the Knowledge Center. The course is listed under Research and Development.
This is in addition to the CITI training required by the IACP Office.
The Orientation/Training class is held every Thursday at 8:30a.m. in room 113D of the Medical Bldg. Please register on-line through the Knowledge Center.
DLAR training is provided to you, at no cost, in accordance with the requirements of the USDA Animal Welfare Regulations. We are here to help you.

For hands-on-training, register through the Knowledge Center. The course title is DCATS Animal Requisitions and is listed under Information Technology.Follow the below steps:
- Log into the Knowledge Center with your university domain id and password
- Click Learning Center on the left menu
- Click Course Information & Enrollment
- Expand the topic: Information Technology
- Locate course ‘DCATS Animal Requisition’ from the list
- Click Request Approval
