Uncover 1/2 to 2/3 of a 25µ gm patch
Do not cut the patch as this alters the release rate.
Applied to the shaven thorax. Use a small amount of super glue to each corner to help adhesion. No bandage is required. You should apply the patch 3-4 hours prior to surgery. The patch is then removed 3-5 days later. Studies show steady serum levels that last at least 104 hours. Do not use heating pads because this will increase absorption.
